Asset sharing

I am currently going through mediation to sort out our finances. I have been married for 14 years but been together for 20 years. We have 2 children. I want the process to be amicable and ensure that my wife gets sufficient funds to move forward. When all our assets are split she has about 20% more of our assets than I do . She has about 90% of our realizable assets but she wants more. The assets include my pension pot. I want only 14 years of my pension pot to be considered in our total assets. She wants 20 years value of the pension pot to considered stating she gave up her career to look after our kids. can anyone help me .Am I being unreasonable. I would just like to add that she had a full time job and her own home prior to us getting married. When we moved into our home after marriage she had negative equity in her home and only had to give up her career after marriage when we started having children
