26 and afraid of guys.

I'm a 26 year old Virgin.

I've never been comfortable with the opposite sex. Growing up I had no male role model and through school I was bullied for being different by boys.

As a teenager I never knew how to approach guys. I dated and was somewhat intimate with one guy whom I met at a teen program but was too afraid to have sex with him. Even then my interactions with him was a bit immature. As an adult I feel even more intimidated because I'm not sure how to have a conversation with men.

My friends keep telling me to go out dancing or to clubs but I'm not that type of person i hate dressing up. My closest friends are all single and and a few of them are also virgins. I feel like my 20's are wisping away. I just don't know what to do.
I am in desperate need of some advice.

re

We seem to be almost in the same situation ... just that I'm a male. If you were from my town I would most certainly invite you on a date. It would be my first.

Well, I know that wasn't very helpful of me. I'm desperate too ... I'm a loner and for now internet chatting seems to be the best way to start a relationship. But where I live very few people use this sort of means to start a relationship ... so I guess I'll have to start getting out more and get involved in some sort of recreative activities where chances are I'll meet the right girl ... but really don't know where to start, and I'm also in a very bad situation (professionally and implicitly materially) right now ...

where do you live?
I live in NYC. With all the stuff going on here you'd think I'd be out and about. I do have fun it's just I'm so damn shy around guys. do they have any meet ups in your state? If so try that. It's for people who share similar interests to come together in a group setting.

Go out with me...

I understand, I was the same way with girls once.

You need to go out with me. You don't need to do or say any thing, just come along. I'll take care of every thing, you can just have fun and relax. The rest will take care of itself.

Bring a friend and you will feel absolutely no pressure. I'm an artist too, so we could start with our common ground and build on that. Easy...

I get hit on all the time by beautiful women, because I am tall, dark and decent to look at, but they are all out for sex. Of course I want sex, I'm a man, but... I am seeking a virgin woman. A rare diamond among common stones, a fair budding flower set amidst the crowding weeds. Not to sound mellodramatic, but I would cross deserts and traverse mountains to find one such.

Well the short answer is, guys are afraid of women too. If you talked to them enough, you might discover that they have the same fears you have.

Hello

Hi nudeartist.

May I ask why you chose this particular user name?

If you live in New York then you will encounter a strong, even overwhelming, attitude against the person you are. The faint of heart may get pushed around.

However, you are doing the right thing. You have gone on the Net and are discussing your problems. Just talking about them can help greatly.

Just so you'll know, there is nothing wrong with being a virgin, even if you are what you perceive to be old. You can be a confident virgin at any age. If those around you are hostile to your condition, you go elsewhere. Here on the Net you can remain anonymous, basically.

I hope I have helped at least a bit here.
